Committed to Serving :

The staff of the City of Ellsworth is committed to serving the Ellsworth community and has established a series of Core Values, a Vision Statement and a Mission Statement that provide the foundation for the organization.

City staff members established the following Vision Statement that reflects their view of the ideal community toward which the City is working:

"[Ellsworth is] an involved, safe, educated, healthy, and family-oriented community striving to proactively maintain quality small-town values and a strong diverse City with sustainable growth and development."

The Vision Statement and Core Values helped the City staff members to establish its Mission Statement which identifies the City's role in pursuing the Vision Statement. The Mission Statement identifies the City's core reason for existence:

"We will promote a safe, educated, healthy and family-oriented environment through honesty, integrity and respect. By partnering with the community, the City will provide teamwork, communication, efficiency, planning and infrastructure to facilitate future growth and development."
